July 1, 2018 – Just in time for the 4th of July, NJ.com released an extensive examination of the risk of ticks and tick-borne diseases in NJ and providing basic “what to do” explanations and videos. The highlight, however was DNA based work (population genetics and pathogen detection) being developed by researchers at the Center for Vector Biology – check out Andrea’s debut as the “Science gal” explaining the intricacies of DNA extraction and amplification to a general audience.
